Hello Reader,
2025 has been quite eventful for me so far. It started with a bang, in fact, as my car crashed into the back passenger door of the sedan that veered into my path. Thankfully, nobody got hurt.
The aftermath brought the usual headaches: filing mandatory accident reports, taking time off work for vehicle repairs, and yes, the hours spent comforting our younger daughter whose anxiety got the better of her ("I don't want to sit in a car again!").
The best-laid plans
That's why this newsletter didn't show up last weekend. By the time the dust settled, I figured I'd give myself permission to turn in for the night rather than rush out an update.
I'm truly thankful everyone walked away unscathed. Just one second slower in my reaction, and the outcome could have been very different.
To make up for last week, I've compiled a bumper edition featuring all 11 stories I've written since the start of 2025.
I started a Substack
As previously announced, I've launched Clearly Tech on Substack, where I'll share deeper insights, opinions, and explainers about the latest technology developments.
The plan is to offer subscription-only content at some point in time, with the first new piece to come next week. Signing up is free, however, which you can do at www.clearlytech.co.
Based on the feedback from an earlier poll, I'll continue publishing this digest, which will always remain free.
How about you? How did your first full week of 2025 go? As always, you can reply directly to this email to reach my inbox.
Regards,
Paul Mah.
PS: If you started receiving this newsletter out of the blue, that's probably because you signed up some time ago. I've started manually adding readers who signed up but never opted in - turns out Kit's double opt-in system isn't terribly robust. Just 200 more emails to go.
